There's no fancy showroom at Hosie and Brown, but with over 10 counterman and 25 Drivers, between two stores we're always ready to go. Over ninety percent of our business at Hosie and Brown is traditional, service stations, garages, fleets, some car dealers, and sometimes other jobbers as well. The company was started in June of 1976 and has been serving the Ottawa and surrounding area proudly ever since. For the past 25 years Hosie and Brown has dedicated itself to timely product delivery. | ||||||
| In 1976 Hosie and Brown Autoelectric started with five employees. Today we have over 35 and the company is still doing business with a traditional set of values. The company is still an AC Delco Distributorship (since opening in 1976) , but we also became a member of Uni-Select in 1986 so we could become a one stop shop. Being able to supply just automotive parts was not enough, our customers required service equipment as well, scanners, lifts, jacks, whatever... Our main store is located in a small industrial area on Gosset Street, and we have over 9,000 sq. ft of usable space that, more often than not, is filled to capacity. If we don't have it on hand 9 out of 10 times you'll still get the part the same day because we can draw from unlimited resources around the immediate Ottawa area. Operating a company that has such a rich past, has its rewards, Rodd Brown, the Owner of Hosie and Brown took over the company after his father died in 1999, and is easily one of the more recognized, and respected figures in the Ottawa area automotive market. | ||||||
